Boy in hat

Most young people don’t want or choose to become homeless but it can happen for a number of different reasons.

You may be looking to leave home – maybe you don’t feel safe at home or you want more independence. It isnever too early to get advice when making such a big step.

If you are facing homelessness in Croydon and are 16 - 21 years of age then phone our confidential Housing Advice team on 0208 760 5530 for professional advice and support. Alternatively, come down and see us at the Drop in Zone in Croydon's Turnaround Centre.

If you are 22 or older, please visit Taberner House where Housing Options will be able to assist.

Housing advice for young people

CAYSH's Housing Advice Project is now based at the Council's Turnaround Centre on South End. HAP<25 as it was known at Dingwall Road is now closed and the new service in the Drop in Zone is for people up to the age of 21. If you are 22 or older and in housing crisis you should go to Croydon Council's public reception at Taberner House- click here for map.

At the Drop in Zone in the Turnaround Centre we will help you every step of the way in accessing safe, secure housing and support you in tackling other problems you face in moving towards independent life.
