Croydon Turnaround Centre is Croydon Council's innovative venue for young people's services.CAYSH manages the Drop in Zone reception area with its fully inclusive youth advice and signposting service, as well as providing specialist housing advice, family counselling and support.
Our Drop in Zone is also the access point for Croydon Council's Youth Offender Service (formerly YOT) and 18+ Care Leavers' Team as well as other Turnaround Centre services provided by other agencies. More than 300 young people and families visit the Drop in Zone each week. This is a vibrant service with a strong emphasis on delivering information, advice and guidance as well as support, providing interventions and partnering with YOS and 18+ services to broker access to universal services for young people.
This post is the “face” of our Drop in Zone at the Turnaround, ensuring everyone who accesses the Centre receives an open and responsive service.
We are looking to develop a bank of locum staff who are energetic, enthusiastic and experienced when it comes to advising and guiding young people and have excellent customer service experience.
Salary: Approximately £10.00 per hour
NB: Enhanced CRB checks will be taken prior to inclusion in the bank. A full induction is provided. Other non-salary staff benefits apply.
