What we do

Library photo from www.johnbirdsall.co.ukCAYSH provides accommodation and housing services for over 120 young people aged 16 to 25 in the Croydon area. We also to provide housing advice to over 1500 young people each year at our multi-agency drop-in centre in Croydon.

  • Supported Housing: 14 shared properties providing rooms for over 80 young people. They are supported on issues including independent living skills, money management, benefits and careers advice.
  • Leaving Care: CAYSH provides a dedicated housing service for care leaders, working with the Leaving Care and Independence Service (LCIS), part of Croydon Council’s Social Services department
  • Supported Lodgings: Providing affordable accommodation in family homes for 25 young people. CAYSH Lodgings team supports both the young people and the householder.
  • Private Rented Access Scheme: Pilot project to assist young people in employment to move to the private sector. CAYSH provides help with rent deposits and ongoing financial assistance.
  • Housing Advice: Our award-winning HAP<25 advice centre in central Croydon provides housing advice, homelessness prevention, individual advocacy and support to over 1,500 young people each year.
  • Floating Support: Supporting young people in a range of housing settings who are either homeless or at risk of homelessness.
  • Service Reviews: Details of the reviews carried out by Supporting People.
  • Participation: How our service users get involved in developing CAYSH's services.
